AF wouldn't loose a lot of passengers if FR would come and start a base in France. In France everything is centralized in PArsi. This means that you'll have to fly through Paris if you want to fly long haul with AF. I suppose that the majority of pax on the domestic flights of AF are connecting pax.

But a little bit of competition is never bad But I would prefer another airline than FR.
