It's june the 13th ;) ;)
Depending on the country, it is between 10 and 13 June.

But for the sake of aviation, as many readers suggest, it is important to vote, and to vote correctly.

For Belgium, see what each party suggests about the night flights, the dispersion (or concentration: some parties do indeed suggest a concentration) of flights at BRU, the future of DHL, extensions at CRL and LGG, the limitations at OST, a second national airport, etc.

And then, make the right decision in your ballot.

André,

I don't want to make this discussion too political, but whish paties suggest to cencentrate the night flights and to expand DHL's base at BRU ?? I wasn't able to read a lot about the programs since I have exams, but I owuld really like to know which party suggests that?

I don't want to become political either, but cdH wants a concentration of the night flights and VLD wants to expand DHL at BRU.

@André: do VLD and MR have the same pro-DHL stance?

Not really. MR wants to keep DHL in Belgium, but elsewhere than in Brussels. Which means that DHL woud run away to Leipzig!

Buzz:

'The Belgian government has to decide'... is just wishful thinking...
At that level, governments don't decide anything anymore, corporations dictate their laws.
Remember Boeing's move or look at the way Ryanair, DHL or Interbrew manage to have countries adapt their legislations to suit their best interest...
Globalisation has had many effects and it's one of them...

But ultimately the decision won't be taken Rue de la Loi/Wetstraat but at Deutsche Post's headquarters in Germany.
