Its a non revenue flight.
Pilot training? Many SWISS pilots have already been sent to Canada for training...
It's a route proofing, like they call it.
And it's not Swiss but Bombardier that is coming to BRU

Does Bombardier want to show it to Brussels Airlines maybe?

Bombardier must urgently find new customers after the bankruptcy of Republic which had ordered 40 CS300s with an option for 40 more.

While chances look slim that this order will ever materialise, in theory it is still standing. Republic will not cease to exist, it is just a question how they will restruct. As of now the firm order with Bombardier is still there, but chances are very high they will cancell it (doing that under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection is a lot easier).

Bombardier said at the recent Singapore Air Show that they want more orders from blue-chip airlines from Europe and North America. This is a quote from flightglobal about something Bolin Cole (senior vice-president commercial) said:
"Although keen to see the Swiss experience parlayed into further opportunities with other Lufthansa Group carriers, Bole admits that it has not had detailed discussions with the likes of Eurowings, Brussels Airlines or Austrian Airlines.
The latter recently moved to replace its remaining Fokker 100 and 70 jets with Embraer 190s and E195s inherited from Lufthansa CityLine, in what has been seen by many as a major blow to the CSeries."

While SN made the choice to go with the A320series alone, I can imagine it is one of the carriers Bombardier is still trying to get on their hook.

Fully correct it's Bombardier. So i don't know wich aircraft it will be, FTV or Swiss aircraft ?
Its now said to arrive at 09.15 and the parking should be 443 next to Jetair building.

That would be very good news! It's a nice aircraft and deserves to survive.

Apparently it concerns a firm order for 75 CS300 and 50 options, as they are intended to replace the MD-88 fleet.

Bombardier Said Close to Signing Delta in Largest C Series Order
(Bloomberg) -- Bombardier Inc. is nearing an agreement to sell as many as 75 C Series jetliners to Delta Air Lines Inc., a person familiar with the talks said, a deal that would be the largest to date for its struggling aircraft program. Delta is also seeking options for 50 more of the single-aisle jets to replace some of the oldest and smallest planes in its fleet, said the person, who asked not to be named because the talks are private. The carrier’s potential commitment for 125 of the carbon-fiber aircraft would equal about half the total orders Bombardier already has in hand.

The stakes are high for Bombardier, which is still trying to land a marquee U.S. customer for the C Series. United Continental Holdings Inc. twice this year opted for Boeing’s 737 rather than the Bombardier plane. Bloomberg News reported Friday that Delta was nearing a decision on upgrading its single-aisle fleet as it seeks to replace its McDonnell Douglas MD-88 workhorse jets.

A firm order for 75 CS300s, the Bombardier jet closest in size to the quarter-century-old MD-88s, would be valued at $6.15 billion based on the $82 million list price although the deal terms could be substantially smaller. Boeing reportedly sold similarly priced 737-700s to United for as little as $22 million apiece, Goldman Sachs said in a research note last month.

SWISS will put its first CS100 into service on 15 July 2016, from Zurich to Paris CDG, and later to Manchester, Prague and Budapest, followed by Warsaw and Brussels at end of August, and by Nice, Stuttgart, Hanover, Milan, Florence and Bucharest in September 2016.

Bombardier may stretch the CS300 to 175 seats to win an order from Delta, after previously losing an order from United for not agreeing to build a larger CSeries.

And Delta has eventually ordered the C-Series:

Bombardier Wins Delta Order in Key Boost to C Series Program

(Bloomberg) -- Delta Air Lines Inc. agreed to buy at least 75 C Series narrow-body jets from Bombardier Inc., giving the Canadian manufacturer the marquee U.S. customer it has been seeking for months.

Deliveries of the CS100 jets will begin in 2018, Montreal-based Bombardier said Thursday in a statement. Based on published list prices, the order would be valued at about $5.6 billion, the company said. Carriers typically negotiate discounts.

Will it be 75 CS300s for $6.15 billion or 75 CS100s for $5.6 billion finally?

Delta orders 75 firm CS100 aircraft with options for 50 more CS100 aircraft.

Delta Air Lines may elect to convert a number of these aircraft into CS300 at a later date.

Based on the list price of the CS100 aircraft, the firm order is valued at approximately $5.6 billion US.

Contrarily to earlier reports, Bombardier is not looking at building a bigger version of its CSeries, as the so-called ‘CS500’ could cost up to US$750 million to develop.

How many orders are on offer for CS500, if developed?

Swiss had initially ordered 30 CS100 aircraft. One year ago, it converted 10 of these orders ro the larger CS300. Now it has converted 5 more CS100 orders to the CS300, meaning that it is now set to acwuire 15 CS100 and 15 CS300 aircrfat.

Swiss now is mulling the conversion of an additional 5 CS100 order to the CS300 aircraft. In any case, 10 aircraft will remain of the CS100 type.

This doesn't seem like a big investment to me, quite the opposite. IIRC, the A320 NEO program cost Airbus around 2 billions EURO.
I still think Airbus should have bought the the Bombardier CSerie division as was hinted some months ago ... There is no need to overlap between the CSeries (100 to 160 pax) and A320/1 (160 to 240 pax). It would sure have complemented their product portfolio nicely !

Except that the CS300 is a serious competitor to the A319 in the 135-145 pax category!

Indeed but the sales prospects of the A319NEO look dim ...
