ANA doubles Tokyo-New York

Postby sn26567 » 06 Aug 2012, 10:17

New York Kennedy Airport is to see a doubling of ANA services from Tokyo-Narita from the start of the winter season 28 October. The nearly 13-hour flight is operated by a three-class Boeing 777-300ER without any competition from American carriers.

It seems to me that it would be interesting to introduce an A380 on that route, if it were not for the reluctance of both Japanese and American carriers to buy that European aeroplane.

I meant that only Japanese carriers (JAL, in codeshare with AA, and ANA, in codeshare with UA and US) were flying the route (both by B773), but I overlooked the Delta flights by B744.
