From the Yahoo! News :
Aviation Partners Boeing (APB) today announced that it has entered into an agreement in principle with Continental Airlines to put Blended Winglets on 11 757-200 and 11 737-800 aircraft. The agreement, which is subject to certain conditions, includes options for additional winglets. Continental could potentially install Blended Winglets on its entire 757-200, 737-800 and 737-700 fleets -- which will eventually comprise over 200 aircraft.

I'm wondering what they will look like ... Let's hope it'll be an improvement ...
Aviation Partners Boeing reports the following :
"We're looking for a customer to partner with in the certification and launch of 757-200 and 767-300ER Blended Winglet Programs," says Aviation Partners Boeing CEO Mike Marino. "Blended Winglets offer dramatic improvements in performance and value and this technology is particularly well suited to 757 and 767 series applications."Aviation Partners Boeing forecasts a potential Blended Winglet upgrade market for some 850 Pratt & Whitney and Rolls-Royce powered 757-200 and over 400 767-300ERs in both passenger and freight configuration.
So the 767-300ER's could be flying around with Blended Winglets in a few years ...

757 tips
757 with blended winglets would look great! It makes the 737 look alot better so I can't wait to see what they look it on the 757. Continental obviously still think the 757 is a good option for the future, if they're prepared to fork out all the money to do that to their aircraft. Are the winglets like 1M dollars a piece or something?!!
Lets wait and see what happens!

I've heard that winglets improve several things related to flying such as helping reducing drag and saving on fuel usage.
Aren't winglets only going to save fuel usage by a couple of percent? Is it really worth spending the money to install winglets? I can see this makes sense for a 757 but for a 737?

I totally agree with you.A winglet like on the 737NG (very large) looks kinda stupid on a 757 or 767.
It seems that today Boeing is installing those blended winglets on all its planes This will indeed safe more fuel and thus improving the efficency of the plane, but for how long ?
BTW I hope that DHL, will never put those winglets on its B757's

I think you are a bit mistaken. The winglets currently on the 737-300/NG were not developed by McD but by Aviation Partners inc. These winglets are very different than the ones found on the MD-11.
