Delays at BRU on 14 Apr

Weather-forecast for Belgium was 'misty conditions' in the early morning. As every plane (that can do a catIII-landing) needs to do a catIII-landing the seperations between aircrafts are much higher than in normal conditions. So if less planes are able to land, some planes need to go into the 'holding' and others are kept on the ground at their original destination due to 'air traffic control-restrictions.

Don't forget that "Bertje den Blijter" (Belgian emotional politician) introduced a plan to spread the aircraftnoise and, within certain limits, aircraft will use a runway according with this plan...744rules wrote:I would like to add that the winddirection might dictate a certain runway. This means that if 02/20 is in use, your capacity is reduced as well (compared to parrallell runway use 25r/25l)
Safety is no longer priority, the sleep of those who bought a (cheap) house close to the airport/approach path is more important....
Look wat happend to a Transavia B757 at AMS in such circumstances...
