Post by airbuske »

09/04 11:35 Dakar delayed SN 1203 17:00
via Banjul

Big delay ( 5u25min)
Does someone knows why?
I suppose technical problems?

Greetings

Airbuske :)

Today there are also a lot of cancelled flights. yesterday too.
Are there problems with VLM because it seems that all / a lot of their flights to Londen City (today as well yesterday) are cancelled.

According to Sky News, a staggering 2.1 MILLION Brits will travel abroad TODAY!

1.5 million thru London's five airports!

Wow. Some numbers make you dizzy. I'm just glad I'm not travelling today! ;-)

That still doesn't explain why SN 203 is late today. And why it has a double code: SN 203 and SN 1203...

apparently a tech problem was reported yesterday evening, but SN technics didn't have enough staff available to repair this problem immediately. So instead of searching staff, they prosponed the repairment till today, and that's the reason for the delay...

So now the reason why it became SN1203 : the order in which they fly changed : they serve dakar and banjul the other way round then originally planned ( with SN203 ). When they do this, SN has to open a new flightnumber and rebook everyone on that new flight ( or that's what i'm told anyway, same happened a while back )

Today they also boarded by bus, to gain time, and seen RWY02 and 07R are in use and our reliable (hrrrm) SFM was at hangar 41... you get the point don't you ? :-)

... and suddenly she was there, at 07L. She took off indeed around 17 o'clock.

That's not possible: all three A333s landed safely from Africa this morning...
