They are being bought from a lessor so no leasing.

(well maybe SN will lease them from LH or EW if SN don't buy the planes themselfs, but they will be LH-group owned, not owned by a leasing company)

LH buys the aircraft from the lessors and leases them to SN.

First picture of OO-SNI ;-)
According to skylinrers, OO-SNI ferried to PRG on 19-May. Any reason why? Its A320 (msn 1983)

Thanks airsrilanka, but we it's kind of old news on the forum: it as already announced 2 days ago, and thoroughly discussed!

Cheers,

It's a pity some people shamelessly use this forum not for information nor for discussion but for their own advertising!

They say that they will replace some A333's and some A332's by seven A333's. So they are going for an increase of seat capacity on their long-haul fleet.

To answer Lucas' question: extra capacity because some 200s are replaced by bigger 300s. No extra frames for the time being.

I think that this is what I said. I didn't mean it as a question 8-) .

Talking about paint... why is OO-SSC the only one in Star Alliance livery? With the new equipment coming in, one could think of another Star Alliance logojet, no?

Small airlines (and big(ger) ones with a 'big ego') usually don't like to have too many alliance-logojets in their fleet as although it links them to a global group, it is usually not that well know by the big public (and those that understand the benefits of an alliance from a customer point of view, don't need a logojet to know that) and they already have enough work on maintaining and strengthening their own brand image.

I'm quite sure SN prefers putting it's money in additional Belgian Icon paints over additional Star Alliance paints. Although I'm not saying they are not thinking about a second one, I have no clue.

I have noticed that the SSJ SN flights are often delayed. What is the reason? Tx

I agree, but isn't there an obligation to have a certain number of aircraft painted in the Alliance livery, e.g.1 out of 20 or 25?

Based upon the one-week history on Flightradar, they are not often delayed:

EI-EKR:

EI-FWE:

Errr.. That second list shows they ARE delayed, albeit mostly just by 15 minutes and even arriving before their STA.
That first link is weird: showing a FR plane, but mentioning a SU95... Anyway, the other CityJet SSJ flying for SN is EI-FWE:
