was picked up by a boat,
luckily he survived, it seems that ditching a small plane in the water doesn't cause a lot of victims, most people survive it even! However must be quite an experience

Another small aircraft crashlanded in Belgium on Sunday: near Brakel (province Oost-Vlaanderen), pilot and sole passenger have light injuries.

edit : registration is OO-F56

And a glider crashlanded in Belgium also on Sunday: near Tienen (Tirlemont), pilot has light injuries.

In Callas, Southern France, a Socata type TB9 has crashed, killing all 5 onboard.

Another one (1977 PIPER PA-32R-300 reg. G-BTCA s/n 32R-7780381) in Alderney (EGJA / ACI).
See article and movie H E R E (Source: Channel Online TV)

Lowering your landing gear isn't always smart either (2 fatalities).
