EBOS : Taxiway to RWY 26 is being extended and made wider !

Post by Andries »

Just saw on Focus TV (West Vlaamse Regionale Zender) that the taxiway toward the loop at runway 26 at EBOS is being extended to the runway. Now the aircraft have to taxi about 900m on the runway, towards the loop where they made a 180° turn and then took off. This will change as the taxiway will now go untill the end. They also said that the taxiways were going to be made wider, to improve taxiing-capabilities.
These works are done to meet with European standards.

I don't think that EBOS will be one of the first airports to get some A380. Especially when you see the companies which fly to EBOS.

But it would indeed be great to see that bird at the airport :P

I think it will take a loooong time before we will see an Airbus A380 in Ostend, even in Belgium :?

Well, Ostend has already seen a Concorde, so why not an A380?
