Well, what do you know? Ormoc has an active airport again! Cebgo (a Cebu Pacific Airlines subsidiary) launched daily flights between Cebu and Ormoc in November last year, using an ATR-72-500.

And the seemingly inevitable has happened : Cebu Pacific has stopped flying between Cebu and Ormoc…

The new terminal building at Ormoc Airport is nearing completion. Together with an improved, widened and lengthened runway, the airport is ready for operations starting 2020. It would have started much earlier, only super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) demolished the new terminal in 2013.
