As the title says: Grupo Marsans (owner of both Air Comet and Aerolineas Argentinas) has signed an MoU for 73 Airbuses, including 4 A380s. Apparently (and contrary to what the article says) the others include A32X, A330 and A350! http://www.reuters.com/article/companyN ... 1020071011
The order apparently is for 61 aircraft, not 73. The 73 number includes 12 A330-200s ordered in December 2006. The Airbus release mentions 61 new orders, being:
The A310 has been out of production for nine years, the line is closed. The order doesn't include A310s, that was just an example of the media not knowing much about aviation.

Who said new A310's?
Fly4hours, making the path to airline pilot affordable to all
Well orders like these certainly suggest that the Airbus wowsers need to eat some humble pie. Ok they have made some big mistakes but they also have some extrordinary products.
To quote Mark Twain, "News of their death is premature!"
According to a spokesman of Grupo Marsans, 2 of the 4 A380s woud go respectively to Aerolineas Argentinas and Air Comet. Quite an opportunity for these (relatively) small airlines. And also the first A380 in South America, if I am correct.

Hopefully it will not end up being a bad mistake like the L-1011's were for PSA back in the late 1970's. Too much airplane for a small company.
