Does anyone know about Business Only service ex BRU to JFK

Post by website-info »

Guys,

anyone heard about a new operator using ex BA B757's with winglets, 80 Business seats flying BRU-JFK & ORY-JFK, seems flights commence 15May08. The message I saw suggests it's not BA themselves - LÁvion maybe ?

website info

Well-informed sources claim that BA is planning to link New York to various European destinations. Flights should start in May 2008. The British carrier is thinking about using their Boeing 757's on the different routes. Passengers will have the choice between Business and First Class. Brussels could be one of the first destinations BA links to the North American city, British news agencies say.

I only know seven other airlines that operate Boeings or Airbusses in an all business or all first class interior: Eos, Maxjet, L'Avion, Silverjet, Eurofly, ANA and Air France (well, at leatst one their Airbus A319 has special configurtation and is used to link Paris and f.e. Tashkent). Eos and L'Avion are the only companies that use the Boeing 757. Personally, I don't think either one of them is planning to serve Brussels. They only operate flights to London, I believe.

I think the Brussels-New York market is getting a bit crowded now. There are at least four different companies that serve New York: American Airlines and Brussels Airlines, Delta Airlines, Continental and Jet Airways. Delta is also planning to use one of their Boeing 757's in stead of their Boeing 767's on the route... I never reliazed that so many Belgians connect through either Newark or JFK :).

You are right. Air France has indeed stopped serving Tashkent. I must have used the wrong information : http://www.airfrance.com/double6/file/Y ... 0Carte.pdf.

Yes it's BA itself!!

They're creating this brand and will use the open skies for this business only service.

The "new" airline is to be based in JFK.
Fly4hours, making the path to airline pilot affordable to all
