Does anybody know if the interior has been already changed to the Brussels Airlines standard seating configuration?

The seats got new seat covers. In August, the interior will change to the standard SN interior (including lie-flat beds in Business Class).

Monday's flight to FCO will be quite a change for Cpt.Paul Van Dingenen, at this moment a well considered competitor in the Belgian Gliding Nationals where he achieved the 4th place in the yesterday contest.

See results at http://www.championnats.fcfvv.be/result ... day_15.pdf

Note also the second place for Yves Jeanmotte, Cpt A310 TNT.

These guys have a natural feeling to pilot all kind of flying machines.

A short question: what's the reason the morning flight to Rome is on A330?

OO-SFW won't fly on monday as it's not ready yet. FNA-ABJ is delayed until 16.10.

Greetings

And it wasn't operational on Tuesday's proposed charter as well, but at least it took the air on a local test flight around noon.

Flight to Conakry/Dakar has been delayed till 1700 today (source: www.biac.be), one of the A330 (not the 4th one) is performing a flight in Europe.

The sfW did not perform its charter to STN-ATH, but instead they sent one of "regular" A333 hence the DKR delay. But still, they only had two long-haul today in their program. That's strange then.

Some news:

This afternoon the Belgian Cicvil Aviation Authorities have officially accepted OO-SFW as 4th Airbus 330-300 on the DAT AOC after a local test flight. As of today Brussels Airlines fleet consists of 4 Airbus 330 aircraft, 3 Airbus A 319 aircraft, 10 Boeing 737 aircraft and 32 AVRO RJ/BAe aircraft.

This evening, the OO-SFW will already fly to Dakar in replacement of another A330 which is performing a charter for the champions league final to ATH and is staying overnight there.

As announced earlier, OO-SFM will be used throughout the summer on the European network, flying holidaymakers to Athens, Malaga and Faro on busy days.

Apart from this, the aircraft will also serve as backup for the three other Airbus 330 that serve African destinations as it will be doing this evening already.

In the autumn of this year the passenger cabin will be upgraded to the Brussels Airlines inflight standards (‘Flat Bed’ chairs in Business Class, inflight entertainment system, catering equipment). Once this upgrade has been done, OO-SFW will serve as replacement aircraft during the scheduled C-check maintenance activities of the other 3 long-haul aircraft.

After that, OO-SFW will be fully deployed on the expanded longhaul flight offer of Brussels Airlines. More information about new destinations and frequencies will be given in due time.

Some more news: www.luchtvaartnieuws.nl confirms that Brussels Airlines wants to add a fifth A330 to the fleet!

Indeed teach,

Confirmation of this rumour in this article. Thus, the intentions to operate a fifth A330 are there, but we all know that the A330 market is a very slim market.

Best regards,
Tom

A month or so ago I was at Dusseldorf airport and i saw that there was also an Air Madrid 1330 standing on the apron. Does anyone know if this plane is intended to be used by an airline? And if so which one?

Its most likely to be used but I'd like to know by who :)

Because I thnk its the same type as the 4th A330 used by BA.

grtz

SFW is now doing flights to Kinshasa for Hewa Bora with a combined Hewa Bora / Bru.Air cabin crew.

Let's hope Bru.Air will be paid by them ... :?
