SN Brussels Airlines' Loadfactor

Post by Avro »

I've just published this news in the news section, but I'll put a copy of it here (since there are 21 news waiting to be published):

AEA just released the traffic and capacity database. SN Brussels Airlines had a loadfactor of 67.3% in July, that's an improvment of 10.3% compared with the figures of June.

I say good job SNBA

Ciao

Don't Worry Be Happy

Post by cyriusvirus »

Hi,

I'm very optimist about the futur of SNBA. Many rumours says that they will not passed 5 years in operation. It's normal that in the beginning they'll not make profits but now they entered in a new phase. From now they begin to make many profits and i hope they'll use them as well ! The belgian gouvernement and all the shareholders will never admit a second bankrupt of the belgian national flag carrier. Belguim will be a shame for the European Union. And many enterprise who wanted to invest in belguim will withdraw themselfs and invest in an other country !
So i think that SNBA will have a good futur but everything can happend, the worst like the best.

See you

That is good news. An improvement of 10,3% that is realy good. That is probably because of the improvement in publicety. I hope the can hold that number of pax or improve it.

Dave

Aheum,.....don't make to early victory sounds.
The loadfactor numbers went up because of good results of the flights to Africa. Those flights had sometimes loadfactors of more then 90%. In fact not a surprise in the two holidays months.
We should compare figures in September or October to get a real idea of how SNBA struggles on. From what i heared in the catacombs, there is still a lot of work to be done, especially for the European network, to get an healthy situation.
But i don't wanna spoil things, i am (like all the rest) hoping the very best for SNBA  .

I'm not a pessimist at all but do also take into consideration that

1) they drastically cut in their frequencies
2) the Africa flights had very high loadfactors
3) they had very big discounts (best buy etc).

I also the yield published somewhere?

All airlines reduce their "business" frequencies in July and August. I had myself to take flights the night before because the first morning flight to MAN had been suspended.

Some of the aircraft made available that way is reallocated to touristic destinations (e.g. Nice, Seville, etc.).

Good news...

Isn't a +65% loadfactor the way to make profit ? :?:
I really hope this is the beginning of a great time for SNBA... :D
Good loadfactors, expansion of their european network and maybe a cooperation with SLR ?

As SkyStef allready said, we don't have to be too optimistic. First we have to see how SNBA will do in the months after the summer.

Another great news :!:

AEA published the loadfactors of August : http://www.aea.be/AEAWebsite/DataFiles/Pr03-66.pdf

SNBA did quite well with a loadfactor of 69.6 %

It's 13.6 % better than in August last year

I say good job SNBA

Let's hope the figures of september were good as well

Ciao

Chris,

Dave mentioned it yesterday in the Luchtzak News section. I also commented that the 13.6%increase in SN's LF is the highest of all AEA airlines.
