In a democracy like the USA, it's not the number of people who protest that matter, but the people who vote.

The number of people refused entry now is probably comparable to the number of people that are refused to check in for their booked and paid flight so South Africa daily, during the last year, because they are unaware of a stupid rule from the South African government. Parents with children -18 must show a birth certificate upon check-in.

We are literally flooded with information, and mainly protests from all over the world, about the Trump prohibition on entry into the U.S. for citizens from 7 mainly Muslim country.

This has now also consequences on flight crew: Emirates is changing the rosters of several flight crew who are no longer allowed to fly into the U.S.

The ban on U.S. travel for passport-holders of seven Middle Eastern states applies to airlines' flight crew, the International Air Transport Association said in an email to carriers around the world on Saturday.

The email said Friday's executive order from U.S. President Donald Trump caught airlines unprepared.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection briefed IATA in a Saturday afternoon conference call about the new rules, the email said, noting that passport-holders from states such as Iran, including cabin crew, will be barred entry to the United States.

Emirates changes pilot, crew rosters on US flights after Trump order

Emirates airline has changed pilot and flight attendant rosters on flights to the United States following the sudden U.S. travel ban on seven Muslim-majority countries, highlighting the challenges facing airlines trying to deal with the new rules.

The world's largest long-haul carrier, which flies daily to 11 U.S. cities, has made "the necessary adjustments to our crewing, to comply with the latest requirements," said an Emirates spokeswoman. She added U.S. flights continue to operate to schedule.

"I cannot think of anything comparable. This brings a mix of administrative confusion, impact and uncertainty for many travellers as well as practical operational headaches and complexities for airlines in planning their flight programs," said independent aviation consultant John Strickland.

Etihad said on its website that dual citizens could travel to the U.S. using their non-banned passport. IATA have told its members that the ban does not apply to dual nationals if they have a passport not on the list.

However, the Guardian reported on Saturday, quoting State Department officials, that dual nationals were banned.

US officials said on Sunday holders of green cards need to check with a U.S. consulate and will be cleared on a case by case basis.

Just wondering: did those airlines also refund the passengers that were stranded when Obama issued a six months travel ban, in 2011, for Iraqis?

KLM is offering vouchers, not refunds. A huge difference.
Air France refunds minus the penalty.
2011 Obama administration stopped processing immigrant visas for Iraqis period of 6 months.
Today, Trump bars every Iraqi from the US. Immigrant, business, student, tourist...to protect America!!! And he did that with immediate effect! Grounding travelers.
