In response to the sharp rise in crude oil and kerosene prices over the past few months and weeks, SWISS finds itself obliged to raise its fuel surcharge slightly. For flights within Europe (including Cairo and Tel Aviv) the fuel surcharge per sector will go up by CHF 3 to CHF 42. Intercontinental services will be subject to a fuel surcharge of CHF 164 per sector (an increase of CHF 10).
This measure applies to all tickets for travel commencing in Switzerland issued as of 15 December. All tickets issued up until 14 December 2011 remain subject to the old policy.
SWISS constantly monitors the price of oil and will link future fuel surcharge adjustments to fuel price trends on the commodity market.

exactly as I expected and reported here some days ago that airline tickets will increase substantially in 2012. Fuel, salary, hardware...everything gets more expensive.
