Intra-India Airfares

I Know that Jet Airways, Air Sahara, And IC Charge different fares for Foreign Citizens and Indian Citizens. Where as Air Deccan charges all one fare as everything an be booked through their website.

If you book the ticket after you go to India can you get it for the local fare, rather than booking it from the US. Or can you ask relatives in India to book the ticket for you (I am a US citizen) for 9W flights for ex?

Do they check you nationality on check in at the Airport in India? Or if you look Indian can you travel with out any problem?

Hopefully I will be able to save on my ticket from MAA (Chennai) to Bangalore (BLR) when I am in India

I love Jet Airways

Anyone with more suggestions?
