THE NEW IBERIA.COM: MORE SERVICES, EASIER TO USE

*A new flights and fares search engine will make its easier for customers to book their flights.
*New web site contents include “Fly with Us” and “About Iberia”

The Iberia.com web site has again been remade from top to bottom, and now features new services, a more modern and functional design, and new tools to speed the ticket purchase process, as well as interactions with Iberia Plus frequent flyers programme members. These are some of the main features of the new Iberia web site, which is much more customer-focused, facilitating relations with the company and also navigation around the site.

New Contents

The new web site contains sections like “Fly with Us”, with all the information needed to make a flight, or information about airports or destinations; a Personal Area for Iberia Plus cardholders; and also “About Iberia”, a gateway to the company’s corporate pages, with specific sections for shareholders and investors, as well as for the press.

One of the improvements made in this version is a new and advanced search engine for finding flights and fares which enables users to makes reservations and purchase tickets more quickly and simply. This facility is in addition to the speed at which the page is loaded, between 30% and 50% faster than before.

Iberia Plus cardholders, in their Personal Area, can manage their points and their travel, and also access customised information about the programme and about exclusive campaigns.

This is the third version of the Iberia web site since it was first launched in 2000, make Iberia the first Spanish airline to put its business online. In the near future it will offer customers the option of checking in online for their flights, and obtaining their boarding cards from their own PC.

Iberia is now a leading exponent of electronic commerce in Spain. In 2004, the volume of ticket sales on line amounted to 206,5 million euros, a 32% gain from the previous year, of which 158 million corresponded to sales within Spain (up 24.2% in the year), and the rest to Iberia web pages in other countries, where growth reached 65.2%. The number of daily visits to the site surpassed 150,000.
