Hi,
this is my first post on Luchtzak, so if this isn't the right forum to make this post, don't shoot me, just let me know.
Next week I fly to Egypt out of Brussels with TUI Airlines Belgium.
When I booked the flight this was the schedule:
Thursday 24/03/2005 Brussels 05:40 - Cairo 11:00 TUB4821
Thursday 31/03/2005 Cairo 11:50 - Brussels 18:00 TUB4822
Now the schedule has changed to
Thursday 24/03/2005 Brussels 05:40 - Cairo 11:45 TUB4821
Thursday 31/03/2005 Cairo 10:50 - Brussels 18:00 TUB4822
So the flight time is on both flights between 0:45 and 1:00 longer.
Now my question: Do they stop somewhere to refuel or is it normal to change flight times like this?
Thank-you.
Kind regards,
Stij
TUI Airlines Belgium to Egypt
Welcome to Luchtzak, Stij.
I moved your topic from General Aviation to Airline Experiences, without shooting at you .
Belgium switches to summer time (from GMT+1 to GMT+2) on 27 March, Egypt (from GMT+2 to GMT+3) only on 29 April. This might explain the change in schedule.
On 24 March, BRU is at GMT+1, CAI at GMT+2.
On 31 March, both BRU and CAI are at GMT+2.
However, your schedules still do not seem to fit. When looking at the EgyptAir schedules, the flight BRU-CAI should last 4 hrs 30 min and CAI-BRU 4 hrs 50 min. If you leave BRU at 5:40 (GMT+1), you should arrive in CAI at 11:10 (GMT+2). On the return flight, arriving in BRU at 18:00 (GMT+2) would mean leaving Cairo at 13:10 (GMT+2).
Check carefully your schedules with your travel agent befotre departure, and with the JetAir representative in Cairo before coming back!
