Fog is the reason why Chaleroi Airport was closed this morning.
Flights diverted to Liege Airport.
Passengers for Milan had to take a bus to Liege, the two morning flights to Dublin canceled. AC landed also in Liege but passengers where left stranded in Chaleroi.
So was I !, I had no bags checked so I went back to the ticket desk to reschedule my flight to 17.30 later today.
Lines, extreme long and at one moment an announcement was made that a bus would drive passengers for the Dublin Flights to Liege. Once it was my turn to be helped, I asked for my bus ticket, I was told that was a mistake, no bus, flights just canceled .
Strange thing was that even before I could ask the lady a question, she gave me a card with Ryanairs address to ask for a refund.
You would think the airlines first concern would be to get stranded passengers to there destination, and not to help get them there money back 8O .
Do I blame Ryanair ?, no not for fog. But things don't look good anyway when your at the receiving end of Ryanairs customer service anyway !.
Tip for Ryanair, maybe when you pay back the illegal subsidies to the local government. Ask for a real guiding system, that way your AC's can land even whey it is misty .
Hope to have a good flight later.
CRL closed today 09/12

It didn't work out last night, even my second flight was canceled.
It is amazing how Ryanair and Chaleroi airport run this show, maybe I should say NOT run this show.
The best thing is that Ryanair considers these incoming flights to be on time. The only problem is that the aircraft landed in a different airport, Liege in this case !.
People have to check in, go the gate and once the flight is canceled send back to the ticket counter. Where only two people are "helping" this group that gets bigger and bigger every hour.
Waiting time up to 90 min, just to be told that the next flight is full.
Busses driving passengers from Liege to Chaleroi, but nobody from Chaleroi to Liege !. Ryanair prefers to fly back empty and lieve the customer behind.
It only took me a few call's to change my plans and last night I stayed in my own warm bed. Could not help thinking about those poor people having to stay in the airport. And some not even to be able to get back home the next few days !.
Sometimes you just outgrow a thing, in my case it is Ryanair. I was never there biggest fan, but this dit it for me.
The damage for me wasn't big, but let me tell you that I really think it is criminal what was going on in that airport.
The local government most be on crack if they call this a good investment !.
Now starts the challenge to get my money back, my last money to Ryanair

What about Wizz Air flights to Warsaw? I just purchased a ticket for next wednesday, and i'm hoping that it won't be foggy. Well, if you want a good price on that short notice for a 1-way ticket, i guess you have to take some risk 8) I wonder how full these flights will be now, after the demise of Air Polonia and on these dates. Prices seem to indicate fuller flights than i have ever experienced on them
