1.Departure in Brussels

we arrived at the airport at 7.30 we left earlier because it was rush hour in Brussels the check in went very smoothly and well organized there where 3 lines 1 for Biz.Elite 1 for DL 141 Economy (Flight to JFK) and 1 for DL 125 Economy (ATL) at 7.50 we went to the ticketing desk cuz i was flying as an UMNR there i had to wait 4-ever because there was a defect in the computer finally at 8.15 we went to the BGS desk and at 8.40 we went thru passport control at this point we went shopping for 20mins at 9.00 we went thru security from this point i spotted

(This is al what i remember)

at 9.30 we went thru the US flight security after this i went B34 and they said we are not boarding yet so i went spotting again here i saw

i had

Pretzels with orange juice
----------------------------
Chicken with water
---------------------------
a Sandwich with water

the route was from Brussels to the Belgian Coast and then towards London,Manchester,Dublin,Shannon and over the Atlantic

The Crew was very professional but not so friendly

The Main meal was OK but not so Good

THe entertainment : very good movie Scooby doo 2 after that I watch a movie on my personal DVD

we hit land about St johns and then we went to Halifax and we hitted US land just north of Boston after that we went west of New York,Philly and Washington where we flew to Raonke where we got Turbulence and flew 2 FL 330 where it was better after that we went to Asheville NC where we started to descent to Atlanta

we landed on 26R and had a short taxi to our Gate

Arrival in Atlanta

i wet thru Immigration had to wait 4 ever before my bag came out i rechecked it and met a friend of mine who picked me up after a train ride i picket up my bag again and left about 15:30

overall
it was an ok flight but if i don’t have to fly DL economy on a 763ER i will not do it anyway i travelled from door to door about 17,5 hours

My return still to come
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After a long stay in the US it was time to head back to Europe

The route went from ATL to Hartwell GA continuing to Charlotte,Raleigh,Virginia Beach we went just East of DC,Philly,NYC,Boston and south of St-Johns we hit land over Brest thenwe went to Amiens where we started our descent into Brussels

The Crew was very Friendly

The main meal was delicious

THe entertainment was ok but for a night flight like this is this not so a big factor

While we descended the Crew offered me to sit in the Crew Rest and i did so i saw the landing from 15G we landed on 25L and we went to the Gate

3.Arrival in BRU
awful they controlled us at the door but after that i went thru immigration and baggage claim

4. overall

and excellent flight it took me about 16 hrs from-door to door

the results are:

DL 125:
Brussels Ground Staff 8/10
Aircraft 7/10
Catering: 3/10
Seat 4/10
Entertainment 8,5/10
Crew: 6/10
Atlanta Ground Staff: 9/10

8+7+3+4+8,5+6+9=45,5/7=6,5/10

Overall 6,5/10

DL 124
Atlanta Ground Staff: 7/10
Aircraft: 7/10
Seat: 10/10 (34A)
Entertainment: 3/10
Catering: 10/10
Crew: 10/10
Brussels Ground Staff: 2/10
7+7+10+3+10+10+2=49/7=7/10

overall 7/10

short view of the flights

Brussels
not a very big airport but convenient the DL staff there always seem relaxed and happy. there is only one bad point about BRU the ridicules amount of security

Atlanta
well it is one of the biggest airports in the world but it is still good except that the BRU flight leaves at a gate with no window the staff is very pleasant

DL 125
actually after this flight i thought "do i know DL like this"
in the beginning the staff wasn’t very friendly but as we got near to ATL they got friendlier and friendlier also the seat and catering was horrible

DL 124
on this flight I cannot complain all the minuses on the outward flight. made it up on the inbound flight

i hope you like it

P.S i am flying again this route in January is there anything that haves to be improved compared to this topic

feel free to tell

Thanks for nice detailed report, Airfrancefan. You seem to be a very reasonable guy who does not drink booze on long-haul flights. that helps keep you fresh!

With a little effort it is perfectly readable. The important is in the content, not so much in the format, although I also appreciate a nice presentation.

Thanks for the nice report. Don't look at hose criticing you text. I know that making such kind of reports takes a lot of time. The most important thing here is the contentst. We are not in an English class here.

Saw the photos too.

Thanks for the transatlantic report!
we climbed to FL 320
i went to FL 330
It surprises me about the low flightlevel, since a lot of atlantic routes are on FL's above FL360 I think (mines on FRA-DEN-FRA were 390 and 410)

thanks for all the nice comments

Jense: it is strange that those flights operate that low
i have done this trip 3 times in the past year and we never came above FL 340 while a 763ER can go up to FL 440

mainly transatlantic flights operate around FL 350

ive also red your reports and that is a nice report

Greetings,
Airfrancefan

I quite enjoyed reading this report, despite lack of punctuation, the sense of the report does come through quite well. :)

Airfrancefan,

apparently you need to be a member to watch those pictures, any chance to place them on free webspace so everyone can enjoy your pics?
