HLA-PZB-CPT-HLA King Air and CemAir Beech 1900D

Post by Great Dane »

New to the Forum, I am Danish but currently based in South Africa, years ago I lived in The Hague and was a regular visitor to Brussels. Here my latest flight experience that included a King Air 200 flight, a Cemair Beech 1900D flight and last a Mango 737-800 flight back home.

First things first, the whole reason for this day trip was the possibility of a King Air flight. It was an emptyleg that was offered at just under 100 Euro per seat.

Flight: Emptyleg Plettairsafaris/Majestic Air Callsign "ZSKGW"
Date : Wednesday 08 October 2017
Aircraft: ZS-KGW Beech 200 King Air, cn BB-381
From-To: Lanseria (HLA/FALA) - Plettenbrg Bay (PBZ/FAPG)
Seat: various
Scheduled/Effective Time of Departure: 08:30/08:08 (GMT+2)
Scheduled/Effective Time of Arrival: 11:00/10:50 (GMT+2)
Scheduled/Effective Duration of the flight: 2 hr 30 min/2 hr 42 min

ZS-KGW Beech 200 King Air Majestic Air at Lanseria before departure. A 1978-vintage, so no less that 49 years old. Sure looks good for its age.

Turned out I was the only pax so I had plenty space in the back and could try out all of the 8 seats

Pretty decent breakfast - actually one of the best I have had on an aircraft

Safely on grand at FAPG.

At Plett was also this stunning machine - ZS-BLV Britten-Norman BN-2A-9 Islander
Will do semi scheduled flights between Plettenberg Bay (FAPG/PZB) and George from 1 December to 10 January. Check Plaettairsafaris on Facebook for more.

All in all a very comfortable flight. Only complains would be the slightly hazy weather and the scratched windows.

Great trip report, rather unusual on this forum.

The plane might be 49 years old, but the screens on the dashboard look younger.
