Experience of low-fare travel in the USA?

Post by Captain »

Hi,

Does anyone have good reviews on low-fare flights between US cities?

Would it be just as cheap to fly to let's say JFK and from there catch a low fare flight to Florida rather than fly straight to Florida from Europe?

Are their low fare airlines as cheap as in Europe?

US LLC's are not as cheap as in Europe. You have to pay well in advance to get a cheap fare.

"Full Service carriers" usely match cheap LCC fares to Florida.

Here is experience from someone living in America:

It probably be the same price, or very slose to the price of a full service carrier, if you took a regular airline "across the pond" and a lcc to Florida. Plus, it is a very big hassle to change airlines if the two carriers are not partners.

Here is m experience with America West, a low fare airline based in Phoenix: https://www.aviation24.be/postt5482.html

I hope this helps,

Flying directly from Europe to Florida gives you the best option and the lowest rate.
You can book a return ticket from AMS or BRU to MIA or MCO for around €299,- ex. airport tax.
