BRU-JFK about 98%
JFK-BRU about 75%
thank you...

I think these LF are very good ... :D

98% SN is a big feeder for the AA flights (ORD and JFK).

75% I hope that AA is also a big feeder for the SN flights (Europe and Africa).

greetings,
ATC

Great report Sonny.
You've got very tasty meals!

Only sad are the problems you've got at BRU.

Don't forget that passengers travel with a return ticket most of the time. This means that in the flight to JFK you'll also find many American who flew on SN and on the flight to BRU you'll find many Belgians flying home.
So you cannot just claim that the AA feeders are in the 98% and that the SN feeder pax are in the 75% .

But from thos loads and from AA's site where you can check the loads of all flights, I'm really surprised to see how sucessfull this route really is. The loads are always quite high, even in Business !!!!! They should maybe start flying with a Triple 7 to BRU in a few months

Don't forget that it are holidays, and many people go to the USA for their holidays. If planes are overbooked, they normaly start to fill up businessclass with economy passengers, therefore it appears to be totally full. I think you need to wait until the winterseason to see how the destination is really doing for AA.

To illustrate, my father went to NY with CO in the beginning of july, and his plane (a 764) was overbooked in Brussels by 50 (!!) passangers. That was on a saturday. Also for sunday, they told my father that they had about 50 persons overbooked. Also coming back, the flight was overbooked. But i guess that this is just in the holiday period. Normally he goes back to NY in september, i'll ask him then again how the loads were.

Pieter

I was also talking about flights before the holiday season, but as you said we will have to wait to see how the loads are doing after the holiday period.

I've also booked CO in september... :D :D
(06-09 --> back 09-09)
I'll write a report about this CO flight in september.
(LF ?)

What happens with the passengers when CO overbooks a NY flight ?

They should maybe start flying with a Triple 7 to BRU in a few months.
Maybe not a bad idea...
if (read if) the AA/SN flight stays a succes story (the future will tell ?)
a) other airlines will reduce their capacity (Delta, Continental) or
b) more and more people will transfer to BRU for a NY flight (even better).

I few weeks ago a red something about a AA/SN Miami flight ? :?:

like always the future will bring us the answers...

Yeah but those are only rumours, and as you and me knows, you should NEVER completely believe rumours. ;)

What happens with the passengers when CO overbooks a NY flight ?
On that flight they searched for volunteers to take the next flight. Those volunteers would get $300 paid. I guess if there are still too many passangers booked, then they leave of the last ones to come, and put them on the next flight. In the case of volunteers, they would be assured to have a seat on the next flight, and the overbooked crowd of the day after would just grow... I don't know if it is the same if you are just one of the last to arrive, but i guess so.
should maybe start flying with a Triple 7 to BRU
I hope that CO would be thinking of a 777 as summer service. They already use a 764, so i guess they are the most likely to do that... The rise in capacity wouldn't be so huge.

Greets,

Pieter
