Nice to hear! Only one sad point: with SN opening MOW and IST, the morning BHX flights is almost everywhere downgraded to ARJ instead of A319 :(

Don't be too drunk before you fly back, otherwise they refuse you to board the aircraft ;)

Are you going spotting?
If the weather permits and I don't have to work, perhaps I can come too.
So I can finally meet a fan of my drawings.

Unfortunately I won't be going spotting (not enough time :( ) but if anyone wants to join me on a beer shopping expedition then they are more than welcome!

For anyone interested in the spotting, I am having a spotting meet on 12th September in Kortenberg (location A). Probably the only spotting for me on 31st March will be in BHX before my flight and in BRU before I go back. I think BHX has some interesting visitors (ex-Soviet Asian airlines such as Uzbekistan go there, so I might get some good photos). If the spotting at BHX is okay then I will post a report on it.

I didn't think yesterday at this time that I would have flights booked to Brussels in March. I hope the weather will be good.

Does SNBA fly to BCN itself or are these flights done by VEX planes?
In june 1999 I flew with a Sabena ticket to BCN with a VEX 737.
About the drawings... I know you like them and this weekend I'll make some more for example a SNBA A330

SNBA doesn't fly with VEX anymore. Now they fly in codeshare with Iberia. Half of the flights are operated by SNBA (sometimes with an A319) .
The codeshare agreements with VEX stopped earlier this year.

Quite a good fare these days to BCN: €160.

If you want an early departure, the first flight opb IB is your only option.
A nice return would be SN3702 (dep BCN 17h30), this flight is often operated with their A319 (but they often change this, so an A319 is never guaranteed except on the destinations where they need the range).

My flights are confirmed as operated by Avro RJ (no surprise for me there), but on my flight out I get a breakfast (never had an SN breakfast, even with Sabena so that will be interesting as I've had some decent airline breakfasts) and on my flight back in the evening I get a snack (hopefully something not in the in flight meal photo database so I can take a photo!)

Sometimes you pay more for a flight with VEX.
So I choose SNBA (or Iberia ) :D

In June 1999 I payed 6600 BEF with SABENA, VEX was 7700 BEF.
On the returnflight ( which was delayed ) the check-in agent at BCN placed us on an earlier flight ( which was late too :? ) What we didn't know until we boarded was that we had business seats in front, with a welcome drink, a warm meal with a small bottle of wine. :o
And that on my Birthday, complete with flightdeckvisit! :D
Both flights were with a VEX 737

Comet,

on your breakfast-flight you will get:

- easy and friendly check-in and boarding,
- free newspaper and inflight magazine,
- a refreshment before the initial service: orange juice or water,
- a wet towel to wash your hands after reading your free newspaper,
- sandwich of cheese/ham with a hot croissant,
- coffee or tea,
- another softdrink if you like,
- chocolates just before you land.

And this all with smiles and professionalism ;-)
Comet wrote:on my flight back in the evening I get a snack
This time in stead of the croissant and the cheese-sandwich you will have the choice between 2 sandwiches.
Comet wrote:hopefully something not in the in flight meal photo database so I can take a photo!)
Normally not as SN BA changed inflight product recently with a wide choice of sandwiches (bacon-eggs, cheese/ham, turkey, chicken curry, etc. etc.)

Today I bought my SNBA ticket to Copenhagen. I'm treating mysels for my birthday on a flight since we're not going on vacation by plane in 2004. :(
The flight will be in June.
I take the first flight in the morning at 06:55, flighttime about 90 minutes.
I come back with the latest flight at 19:25
Ticket price on SN site: € 200,98
Ticket price at the sales desk in BRU: € 187
And I had a coupon from a saving action in a newspaper, so my flight costs only € 152 8)
Off course I'll make a report of this city trip.
Now I can start counting down, still 25 weeks.

I flew with SN from Brussels to Bristol some weeks ago.

Service was perfect. Nice a friendly FA's and a nice breakfast during the flight.
I like the AVRO's to fly with.

I also flew with VEX once to MAD. But I will never fly them again. The less space in the plane. I couldn't use my laptop because there was so less space.

Just give me SN instead of VEX. Service is better and FA's more friendly.

Also nice to fly: KLM and Lufthansa.

Best Regards,
Yvo

Yvo,

Thanks for the nice feedback on SNBA.

I don't want to be annoying, but wouldn't it be better if you post your comment in a new topic, otherwise we could loose the overview.

Hey Louise,

Do you know these Begian beer sites :

www.visitbelgium.com/beer.htm

www.dma.be/p/bier/2_4_uk.htm

Maybe you can visit the Belle Vue brewerie - Molenbeek (Brussels).
Have a fun day :D
