+11.2% for BRU
+15.8% for SN

SN is again increasing its market share in BRU !

(Note: February has 29 days this year, vs 28 days in 2015: this leads automatically to an increase of about 3.6% in the number of passengers!)

If we adjust the numbers for the leap day, growth is still 11.7%. Very impressive!

Good morning.
So they were quicker with their figures this month then?
Again some very solid growth figures posted by them, and that on all continents: well done!

In the light of the capacity (side)discussion over their results of last month, it's interesting to note how they report significant capacity growth this time too: my reading is they are building up to the summer season by now?

Another trend I notice for 2016 after just 2 months is that not only are they set to grow with double digit figures once more, but that so far they seem to be growing at a faster pace than last year even!?
I'd have expected the opposite, given the basis to start from is bigger now, so I'd currently put them at well over 8.5M passengers over 2016, based on all of this.

Do we have numbers of how much transit passengers they have.
I'm imagine that the biggest part of the 148,000 transit passengers are from them.
So it could be around 30% that's great.
Hasta la victoria siempre.

On the other hand, freight decreased by more than 21%

"due to the reduced availability of cargo space on the African network as a result of the higher volume of passengers and weight restrictions on the flights"

Bring in some more higher MTOW A330s I would say!

Are they counted once or twice? How many of those pax flew on own metal and how many where codeshares?

The only reason there's a significant capacity growth is because February had 29 days in stead of 28 last year. If we adjust the numbers for the leap day, capacity growth was less than 1%.

The number of pax will definitely increase, thanks to the 2 A330 coming and the bunch of A319/A320 coming. However I expect a steady or lower load factor as 5 afro's will be swapped with bigger aircraft.

My math tells it differently:
1 day compared to 28 is 3.6%
15.8% minus 3.6% = 12.2% for 28 days

Or differently: 115.8% x 28/29 = 111.8% or an increase of 11.8%

How did you calculate 1% ?

He's talking about capacity growth, not passenger growth ;)
