Blue Air joins ERA

Post by sn26567 »

The European Regions Airline Association (ERA) is delighted to welcome leading Romanian airline, Blue Air, into membership. Blue Air joins a further 50 European airlines at ERA.

Blue Air, founded in 2004, was the first Romanian airline company to be launched with 100 per cent private equity. It provides safe, comfortable and affordable air flights to Europe’s leading destinations*. Blue Air has a smart flying policy which focuses on exceptional customer service, high-performance aircraft and expert pilots and crew with market leading safety and security strategies.

Acquired by Air Management Solutions in 2013, the new owners are committed to strengthening Blue Air’s market position, upgrading the carrier’s services and gradually increasing the size of its fleet.

We are very pleased to be joining ERA at what is a key time in European politics. We are looking forward to working with the association and other member airlines to ensure that the concerns of European regional airlines are heard and that their contribution to the economic and social development of Europe is understood,” says Gheorghe Răcaru, general director, Blue Air. “The excellent networking opportunities and regular updates on impending issues and industry news will also be of great benefit to Blue Air and its customers.”

Director general of ERA, Simon McNamara, notes: “I am delighted to welcome Blue Air into membership of ERA. The airline joins us at an exciting time in its business strategy and we are looking forward to working with Gheorghe Răcaru and his team.

*Blue Air recently operated its first flight on the Bucharest-Cologne route and from 15 December 2014 will operate direct flights from Liverpool to Bucharest.

From Bucharest, the Romanian airline operates flights to Barcelona, Bologna, Brussels, Dublin, Cologne, Larnaca, London, Madrid, Malaga, Milan, Naples, Nice, Paris, Rome, Stuttgart and Valencia.

Blue Air also flies from Bacau to Bologna, Brussels, Dublin, London, Milan, Paris, Rome and Turin, and from Sibiu to Stuttgart.
