AIR FRANCE launch “Marseille Offensive” from Oct 2011 with 13 New Routes

AIR FRANCE starting October 2011 (02OCT11) is introducing 13 new routes from Marseille, with flights to Athens, Beirut, Biarritz, Brest, Casablanca, Copenhagen, Dusseldorf, Istanbul, Milan Malpensa, Moscow Sheremetyevo, Mulhouse, Prague and Tunis.

Nice, one more dot on the BEY map as well! Not sure I'll have the chance to try that service, is there even an AF (or other) service between BRU and MRS?

There is a Lebanese market in the South of France, hope it's big enough to support the route. ME currently run BEY-NCE as a seasonal service in the Summer, that might suffer. Unless of course AF and ME will work together on these routes.

AIR FRANCE Shrinks Marseille Operation from Sep 2012

AIRFRANCE starting 03SEP12 is shrinking operation in Marseille, where it will reduce and cancel service on 8 routes. Earlier this year, the airline claimed its success in these regional market, part of its new strategy.

Reduction
Marseille – Bordeaux Reduces from 4 to 3 Daily
Marseille – Brest Reduces from daily to 4 weekly
Marseille – Hamburg Reduces from 4 to 3 weekly
Marseille – Lille Sundays service reduce from 2 to 1 flight
