Brussels Airlines welcomes 18.2 pct. more passengers in May

Post by sn26567 »

In May Brussels Airlines saw a passenger growth of 18, 2 percent compared to last year. The airline transported in total 79,000 more passengers on board its 50 European and 20 African flights.

A total of 515,718 passengers chose for Brussels Airlines in May. The increase was similar on both the European network (+ 18.1 pct.) and the long-haul network (+ 19.1 pct.). Due to this passenger increase also the average seat load factor of the flights went up.

The passenger numbers of May confirm the positive growth trend of recent months. Brussels Airlines grew faster than the market in May.

The increase in passengers is mainly due to increased seat capacity, linked to the airline’s commercial strategy and pricing policy. On several routes larger aircraft were used compared to last year. There was also a sound increase in the number of group reservations and city trips.
