Anyway these are the first from today, conditions were poor, many Condor and Qatar in the sky but too much heat and haze.

A B738 for AC to fly all the way from TLV to YYZ? I guess that there is an intermediate stop somewhere.

Hi,

This is my report from Saturday. Weather forecast said sunny all day and as I normally get such a small amount of movements over my hometown I decided to put the scope in the car and drive about 75 miles north west to my spotting point near the VOR to capture more traffic. When I arrived there were plenty of contrails in the sky but conditions were less than favourable with lots of heat waves, cirrus cloud, and milky sky! Temp was about 14°c so still fairly warm but conditions were best when there was a fresh breeze of wind coming from the north.

There were a lot more but had to discard a lot of photos due to the heatwaves etc... I'll go back there when its colder!

Exactly, my mistake in the description. Besides, the picture presents B763, not B738.

I thought so too Ian, I was hoping to harpoon a few whales that day but this was the only one worth a photo. The singapore SIA26 came over just as I arrived but the scope hadn't adjusted to the outside temp. Also saw another AFR but flew backlit. I think at this spot you could capture 5 maybe 6 on a good day with SIA, AFR, UAE, DLH :)

Heres something from the archive of 04/10. PH-BVB caught in some fantastic conditions:

Hello, some sightings from the past days. A few new ones for me; but the sky wasn´t clear, so the pictures were not so good. One thing I feel I have to comment is many aircraft going "arctic", with former colourful liveries changing to white. Finnair loses its nice blue touch, the Malaysian below also has lost colours compared to the first two A380s delivered. TUIfly, usually in yellow, also has an albino. Do more colours make the airlines look less serious ?

best wishes

Hi,

Today I had blue sky for most of the day, but nearly all movements taking a northern route over the Atlantic to avoid the jet stream. This was the only opportunity, and yet another KLM to add to my collection... I think one day i'll have their whole fleet in my album :D .

No contrails in my airspace today, hopefully tomorrow! ;)

James.
