Hello, a few pictures from the first days of October. With forthcoming rain, the next days the camera will stay off :( .
It felt like being in a blind spot with traffic routing somewhere else the last days, but at least some aircraft came.

Hello,
before the rain came in there were a few moments with blue gaps in the clouds to play hide and seek with the aircraft. To make it even more difficult to spot them mostly there were no contrails. A few got caught... ;)

Is the bottom image actually an Etihad A330? The tail looks similar, plus a KC767 doesn't have winglets (I think :? )

Hi,

First of all sorry for the lack of posts for a while - I have been busy for the last 2 months travelling in the US and more recently moving house, and therefore don't have access to a decent Internet connection until at least 26th oct. Hopefully will be able to post my latest pics then.

Since moving house I have made a mod to the scope and have added some flocking material to the inner Walls of the scope, which (apparently) traps light and improves contrast. Having tested out the new mod on Saturday I didn't notice much of an improvement in my pics. But it was hard to tell as it could have been due to the seeing conditions on the day - seemed quite hazy/foggy/ and quite warm with temps up to 16c... I will try it out again when the weather gets a bit colder!

Btw- nice pics dc10md11, especially like the emirates a380. It seems the conditions are improving a little bit more as the winter draws closer.

Best regards,
Cwuk

Excellent pics DC10MD11 especially the Emarites a380 and the singapore crossover!
Conditions here in Leeds have been poor over summer apart from very very early morning June/July, can't wait for clocks to go back, temps to fall and sun to lower in the sky.
Will have some pics soon no doubt
All the best

P.s good idea DC10MD11 + CWUK on Flocking, might try it out. Any advice would be great

Hi,

Well I couldnt wait for the internet so I am using my neighbours computer and internet to upload my pics

So here are my pics from saturday with my first results of the new flocking mod. In my opinion, the pics look much darker than before. I was hoping to see more contrast on the planes, but i can only see more contrast on the lighter areas of the plane (where the sun is shining on it) and the underside looks a lot darker than before the mod. Although this is only my first try... things may be different on the next test.

All pics taken from a layby down a lane near the CPT VOR. Weather was clear all day, fog was present in the morning but soon evaporated and the temperature got quite warm to about 17c - lost a lot of pics due to the heat. Then conditions Improved in the afternoon but not many heavies flew over. Unfortunately not many flight details.
