Contrail Spotting June 2011

Hi there

Had clear morning today very busy airways from west to east US to Europe but pictures were lost due to distance/haze (will have to travel about 20-30 miles south to overcome this)
Only one from overhead

Great shot nonetheless! although there has been quite a lot of cloud coverage lately, the weather seems to be top notch for contrailspotting in between the clouds (considering the time of year). Unfortunately, most transatlantic aircraft seem to be routing much further north than usual, leaving me with nothing to catch :x

Was out with the scope today at about 6.00am and 10 mins later the high cloud roll in so only had time for 1 photo.(as you see below)not a contrail.

Hi there

Clear conditions were forcast for Saturday morning so loaded scope Friday night, set my alarm for 4:15am to check on Flightradar24 what airway transatlanic traffic was on and made the journey 40 miles south for Airway UM16 (All shots taken between 6-7:30am)

Nice catch on that CP 747 leedseagle 8-)

My only photo from saturday, nice morning but cloud soon bubbled up and there were no contrails.

(No Callsign) N918AX FL370 on UM140 - Omni Air International 772 :D

Hi to you all,
Only one photo today, Saw this Boeing 747sp come out of Switzweland and tracked(flightradar 24) it into france
and the coast of the U/K and then turn left coming my way :D :D :D :D :D :D :D Out come the scope.
Not a great picture due to the time of day---14.30pm and the high sun but nice :D :D .
