Hi,

A fair bit of cloud coverage today so had to take photos inbetween the clouds. There seemed to be quite a lot of moisure (relative humidity?) in the air today which made it difficult to take a sharp photo.

Cheers mate had a few probs with weight of camera pushing focuser back down so phoned up Telescope house and they told us to tighten middle large allen screw that should hold it and it did the trick also fitted an 80mm fan to a disk suspended below primary mirror blowing air up the tube. Very pleased with the results

Hi to you all,
A few more photos which i took on the 19th november.Had nice blue sky and later high white cloud come over.
Only some aircraft on contrail and all photos taken with barlow.

i had moisture over the main mirror so i took the scope indoors,undone the screws at the back of the scope and took the mirror out and washed it under the shower(1st time in 2 years) and then with de-ionised water and then used the wifes hairdryer to dry it and reinstalled it back in the scope.Checked the anlinement with the lazer and it was still spot on.
Had to wait a hour or so for the scope to cool down to the out side temperture.

result=NO MORE MOISTURE :D :D :D

The 1st and 2nd photos have been taken AFTER the mirror was re-installed--a inprovement. :D :D :D :D .

Hi

No not used the Barlow lens yet.
I have been using the Tv setting on the camera because when I put it on AV it shows as 00 because there is no lens on the camera, but I will try it next time we get some blue sky :)
Do you post on the SBS site ?

Cheers
Ian
