A picture of March 1 near BUB on UL608.

Some pictures of March 2.
All traffic taken near BUB on UL608.

Frequent visitor: Virgin Atlantic A340-300 G-VFAR enroute Dubai-Heathrow as VIR401.

One of the highlights of the day was this B747-100 of Evergreen N479EV at 37000 ft heading west.

Another highlight: last sunrays on a Polet An124 RA-82068.
It was heading west as POT220 and cruising at 28000ft sadly without contrail. It didn't go to EBOS, any suggestions of its route?

Are captured via SBS reports, the site http://www.openatc.com/ puts them online, go therefore to "show airtraffic" than push the google map.

Today, March 22, the returning flight of Lufthansa A380 F-WWJB passed Belgium on its eastbound leg to FRA. It was presumable on the UL607 and this happened around 0945LT, cruising at 33000ft. I guess nobody saw it.

On March 25 another flight goes to IAD, etd 1800LT, and returns to FRA on March 27 eta 1200LT. Perhaps on the latter date better opportunities to catch the bird at its eastbound leg on UL607. So if no delays, it could pass Belgium eastbound around 1030LT.

Forthcoming, some nicer weather days for the contrail spotter. To get the taste of it some pics of earlier this month.
All traffic near BUB on UL608, except FPO & JAL which were on UZ703.

March 11.

An "SP" remains a rare sight and a contrailing Qatar Amiri Flight VP-BAT heading west at 40000 ft as WW1 was welcome.
Image.

Common sight at BRU, here in upper levels: Europe Airpost B737-300 F-GIXT at 33000 ft enroute Kittilä-Paris (CDG) as FPO1682.
Image

Japan Airlines B777-200 JA710J at 38000 ft enroute Tokyo (NRT) - Paris (CDG) as JAL415.
Image

Ex OO-SCX of Sabena now with Royal Jordanian as F-OHLQ cruising at 36000 ft enroute Amman-JFK as RJ261
Image

The better shots are made with low (evening) light.
MyTravel Airways B767-300 G-SJMC at 36000 ft enroute Goa-Gatwick as MYT068.
Image

Almost simultaneous: two B777-300 of Emirates passed by.

A6-EBO at 34000 ft enroute Dubai-Heathrow as UAE3.
Image

A6-EBF at 36000 ft enroute Dubai-Manchester as UAE19
Image

And finally, Dallah Avco B737-700 N79711 at 36000 ft heading west.

Hello,

Did this morning some contrail spotting with my new camera eos 400D.
I darkened the background because there was to much light on the pics.
I hope I wrote down the correct airlines/types

British Airways - B767

Air France - A319

Unknown - B747-200/300

Well the photos 3 and 6 have my preference concerning the light conditions. Btw which equipment you use and how was each aircraft heading?

As a reminder the A380 F-WWJB is on its return to FRA as LH8949. Should arrive there eta 1200LT, but there seems to be a 30 minute earlier arrival. It should pass Belgium on its eastbound leg on UL607. At 1000LT it was over Ireland, so watch for the bird the next coming hour.

At 1030LT near Dover, is within 10 minutes over Koksijde, heading east on a line just south of EBBR.

Indeed I do, but as could be expected with Easterlies, more hazy skies (smog) from the Ruhr regio than yesterday. Together with the oppostite light (which is typical on my position to UL607) the results are of course not fantastic. However I was was glad to capture this bird from my balcony.

Below three shots around 1046LT of A380 F-WWJB enroute IAD-FRA as LH8949 at 35000 ft, near BUB on UL607.
