When looking into the sky, you sometimes can see some nice surprises. This is clear in all the previous posts in this topic. I have some more to add!:

Kenya Airways in approach for Schiphol:
http://coppermine.luchtzak.be/displayim ... ?pos=-8223

PIA Boeing 743, probably coming from MAN:
http://coppermine.luchtzak.be/displayim ... ?pos=-8222

A real surprise: a RAF VC-10 :!: :
http://coppermine.luchtzak.be/displayim ... ?pos=-8221

The Germanwings 'Bearbus' :!: :
http://coppermine.luchtzak.be/displayim ... ?pos=-8218
http://coppermine.luchtzak.be/displayim ... ?pos=-8217

Apart of that, I could also catch a Virgin Atlantic A340:

Hope you like them. Feel free to comment!

Depends on humidity and temperature: usually between 6km and tropopause. Tropopause is fluctuating in height (somewhere between 8-15km) and it's the inversion layer from which temperature starts to rise. It is also the level at which commercial aircraft want to stay just below, a matter of the most economical cruising level (the colder, the less cost).

Todays conditions for contrail spotting are quite good, as can be noted on my webcam.

Nice shot Pawel, seems the Coppermine album is experiencing some troubles, so tempo no photos to show that any member has uploaded in there.
Btw, some poor weather last week(s) in Belgium, lots of high clouds, than low clouds, today blue sky, but too dry for contrails.

Hi,
can someone help me identify this one: picture
taken with Canon 300D 75-300mm lens at 10:35GMT heading W over my house in Dorset, England.

Your picture has been modified by Skystef: forum rule 9. "Keep the images in your forum-messages under 640*480 or 800*600, otherwise the page will be stretched too much."

Did spent some money  ? Your pic seem to match with one of the two Belgian Defence A310s: pic

With the longer daylight, some east bound traffic can be photographed with back light, but only in early morning or late evening. The horizontal distance is a bit larger than the W bound traffic, hence the smaller planes.

A grip of some evening shots of 03/06.

No contrail, but first time I saw a RYR descending to EBCI taken around 2026LT.
It came from Stockholm (Skavsta) as FR9571 and is presumable EI-DAQ

A Belgian registered contrailing plane above EBBR, very rare: A300 of EAT cruising E around 2026LT.

Fedex MD11 cruising E around 2111LT

Classic shot of Air India B747-400, this time heading E around 2123LT, catching the last sun rays.

Hi,

Thanks for the info skystef, I was lucky to see one out of two planes at contrail height!
The equipment I was using isnt mine, im just borrowing it and have to give it back tomorrow  But I have bought the canon 350D and some attachments for my telescope so i can take better pics through it, which will arrive sometime next week. I also have some mone left over for a lens :D :D

Also some more pics from yesterday:

Hi Pawel,

The delta pic was taken over my house on airway UN20 at 11:11am on 3rd June. I dont know the flight no. of the one in my pic but im guessing it came from AMS because i see a lot of flights from AMS on that airway. If you want to you can track flight DL88 live on www.flightview.com

Pilot drunk? Or returning to airport of departure?

Where was this picture taken?

Could be an AWACS or Sentry during military exercise, doing large patterns high in the sky.
