Post by vc-10 »

Yesterday I saw an A320 taking off from Heathrow with Condsnsation coming off the back of the wing like off a fighter jet. Is this normal

Yep, it's completely normal. When the humidity in the air is high enough and with the under-pressure on top of the wing, the humid will condensate. Must be a great view from an overwing seat!

Yeah that's it. I could not take a picture-the aircraft climbing over windsor are at about 900 feet and my camera doesn't have zoom and I didn't have it with me.

Next time be prepared. Zoom or no zoom, at least we have a luchtzaker who saw it eye to eye
