Touchdown @ 21.39LT on RWY 02
Hopefully the lighting conditions were still reasonable to take some good pictures.

Idd!

IB3208 & BA404 (who declared a low-fuel urgency) made two go arround each.

That is absolutely necessary for 24hrs-flights: the cells must produce enough energy during the day, not only to feed the engines, but also to fill the batteries for the night.

LED technology. Only 100 W for all the lights together!

Beautiful images and videos.
I was also there the 13/05/2011, but not the 12/05/2011 as mentionned in your videos.

The only acceptable shot I took yesterday. Shame on Brussels Airport Facebook group for mentioning a false runway when Solar Impulse group said 20 minutes earlier that the aircraft will land on 02

For a complete photo-report of the landing, see viewtopic.php?f=7&t=44895

The Facebook page did not give false information. The runway has changed twice in the last 20 minutes: from 02 to 25R and back to 02.

Luckily, the SI is so slow that some people had all the time to get back from 25R to 02!

By the way, nice pic, Hadrien!
