New belgian (?) airline in BRU?

Postby korvo » 12 Mar 2009, 13:45

Found this on the BRU airport jobsite:

http://www.brusselsairport.be/en/jobs/n ... /jobtitle3

Blue Lagoon airways? Via google only one relevant article showed up:
http://belgium.mvmtravel.com/profile/mc ... %20AIRWAYS

"...We are starting a new Low-Cost charter company (Blue Lagoon Airways) from Brussels-National Airport to all the European citices, with 2 Aircraft Beechcraft1900D,A standard configuration with 19 seats or VIP configuration with 12 seats In both versions..."

Anybody heard about this new outfit?

Hehe their website is made using Weebly.
I think this is indeed a 'low-cost' charter :P

He is referring to himself as Captain Sam Fouad, wearing only three stripes on his homepage... When will they be starting up? I guess they'll have a lot of competition on routes as MAD, LON (which airport?), AMS, LIS, FCO, TXL (?), NCE, FRA, MAN, CPH... they all have a direct link to Brussels as of this moment...

Seeing his spelling of Innsbruck, Copenhagen, Bordeaux, I cannot help questioning his education. Does this guy really hold an ATPL to dub himself a "captain" ? Yes I am a bit freaky on spelling and language, but this airline looks rather virtual, to me too, yes. And why not? If the guy is enjoying himself, what is wrong with that? The strange thing is he made his way onto the BIAC website.

Hey all,

I don't know but this looks very weird to me, some weeks ago I've found something similar on www.kapaza.be about some other strange airline that would be recruiting cabin crew as well. Also with extreme spelling mistakes...
but indeed, how did he make his way onto the Biac website???

A single investor looking at starting business out of Brussels on short-haul with low-capacity aircraft.
It could be interesting.

Then everything depends on how deep his pockets are.

A decent marketing manager will probably rebrand to something more usable than that name and a logo that looks alot like the Belgocontrol one.

Entrepreneurial spirit is very welcome, it's small dreams that turn into big things.

Just made a quick search in the register for companies and can't find any "Blue Lagoon AIrways" nor a company with a mr. Sam Fouad as one of the chairman.

Looks like a web project... But there should be a disclaimer. Some things however hint at possibly something else. Weird. Anyway I fear this is a stillborn project in a dreamer's mind. Nothing dangerous.

But that "dreamer" managed to get a job offer on the BIAC site...

Maybe the "airline" is Morrocon based? Anyway, just did another search in another database and can't find anything about this airline...

Still looks like a joke to me, or a simulation.
Sometimes you can read something about a Beech 1900D, sometimes ATR, sometimes A320.
But there's an adress and a phone number...

That's what I thought as well. Pity that some people - that are looking for a job - will try contact them. It will be a big dissapointment :( Perhaps somebody can check via BRU airport if this is legit or at least tell them that there's some serious doubt about this "airline"?

I had a look on Google maps at the address, I've never seen an airline office there...! Maybe Captain Fouad might be be member here one day! Then we will know what the score is.

Not sure if it is meant to be the pictures of the "real" Blue Lagoon planes, I think the pics are just there to give an idea what a A320 looks like. Nowhere it states that the picture IS the A320 of Blue Lagoon....

But, I admit, it still looks pretty weird :)

Well, so maybe somebody who is eager to know could just give him a call and ask ;)
