40 pilots is a little bit to much but we lost several, and still losing more. It is like in all the Belgium companies. A lot of the Belgium pilots prefer to fly outside the country as the payment is much better. In our company we have also the problem that a lot of us is not sure was will happen after the move of the main hub to Leipzig. We stay Brussel based but no idee yet how we will be positioned. They are thinking about the "Net Jets" system, positioning commercial from Bru, or the place you live in Europe for the non Belgium pilots, to your aircraft and back. This due to the fact that only 6 B757 will pase thrue Brussels avery night after the move and only 1 of them will be EAT. So no A300 witch can carry 6 passengers iso 3 on the B757.
As far as I know the only 2 courses for ab initio this year starts tomorrow (B757) and on 18/6 (A300) and they are offcourse already full. The rest off the courses this year will only be upgrade to Cp. Offcourse this will have the result that the Fo level will drop again below minimum and they will hire again later on. The 16the A300 is expected to join the fleet in September this year but not completely decided yet. Also the 2 B757 that left the fleet about 2 years ago for Bleu Dart will return begin of 2008.
Be aware that if you want to fly for EAT it is 90% night flight. It is more demanding that most people realise when they start to fly with us. Also it is possible you will not get a Brussel based contract anymore but a Leipzig based one. This means that or you move to live over there or you are responsible for your own positioning to and from Leipzig to start your duty.
