After a series of flight incidents, all eleven Belgian C-130's are grounded.

Originally 12 were bought. CH-06 was lost in the Eindhoven disaster in 1996, CH-02 when hangar 40 burned down in 2006. One replacement was bought, I think it was originally a civilian one, to become CH-13. Balance: 11.

what's wrong with the flight controls?
Re: Press report: "all 11 Belgian C-130's are grounded"
Nothing wrong with the flight controls themselves. According to some sources the problem come from the hydraulic fluid that powered them. BAF try to save some money by using a mineral based fluid instead of the full synthetic fluid. The mineral based fluid as a temperature rating that is not adequate.

CH-08 had its very last flight on 27th December 2017. She needs a major check, and the Belgian Army regards that as too expensive.
