(and, for those who insist we use the English language here: the English would say over Syria.)

Re: Russian jets above Syria
Hi,
The russians play a game like in the cold war , thickling the borders, but as they are in talks in creating a huge coalition against ISIS this is the worst thing that the turks could have done !
I think Erdogan just wanted the be a bigger guy, showing another strong Turkey...
Instead of supporting them NATO should have been more precious and warned Turkey of being kicked out of it... Turkey isn't the same country anymore as years ago..
Guess we can't say that as Turkey has the advantage of being a good strategic geographical position...
The russian plane flew five! seconds in Turkish aerospace in the best case, in the worst in flew one mile of the border in Syria , one human was killed.... for nothing...
Can't blame Putin for putting a strong reaction to the Turks...
Fear I would say he -Putin- is on the right side now,... the turkish reaction was way to aggressive in these days...
The Russian could have entered turkish aerospace for second but this could never been understood as an aggresive offensive act... not a single human would give Putin being that stupid ...
CXB

As per usual:
1) no conclusions please, before we know the exact certified facts (in this particular case, not sure we ever will)
2) no politics here, please

You might try your luck in Russian Aviation. They have reported a lot about the incident.Roser wrote:now I'm looking what the serial was of the SU-24.

According to Wikipedia in Russian (https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%9A%D0 ... 0%B4%D0%B0) it is none of those serial numbers, but 44. And yes, I do read Russian!Roser wrote:now I'm looking what the serial was of the SU-24. I have these serials for this jet in Syria: 04, 08, 16, 26, 27
