I decided to split off the other sad incidents into their own respective topics.
The events are certainly worthy of a report here, though I feel the word "series" might be rather exaggerated.

My thoughts:
I feel like "series" might be wording it a bit harsh. Granted, these accidents happened in a close succesion of one another, but I don't really think that I would describe this as a series, implying a structural problem. Most airshows are organised during this period, as far as I know. As such, the highest probability for a crash would seem to be now. The fact that four of them happened at such close intervals, is, by lack of a better word, an unfortunate coincidence in my eyes.
Granted, I'm not that (or at all) familiar with the organisational side of an airshow, but I have visited a fair few number of them over the years. Barring one or two outliers, where a "reckless" pilot was the culprit, I've never felt unsafe at an airshow.
Of course, IF certain measures can be taken to improve the safety at airshows considerably without dumbing them down, I'm all for it.

The eleven victims have now all been identified.

Inquests into the deaths of the 11 victims will be opened and adjourned on Wednesday at County Hall North in Horsham, where all the names of those killed will be officially released.

Following the crash and resulting fireball, specialists - including forensic archaeologists, anthropologists, odontologists and pathologists - had to examine DNA, teeth and human remains to discover who died.

The wreckage of the plane has been sent to Farnborough in Hampshire where the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) are trying to determine the cause of the disaster.

Their initial findings are expected to be published in the next few days.

Extracts :

An initial investigation into the Shoreham airshow crash has found that the Hawker Hunter plane that hit the ground and killed 11 people last month appeared to be working normally and responding to the pilot’s commands.

The report said the pilot, Andy Hill, started the attempted loop-the-loop manoeuvre that led to the crash at a height of 200 feet (60 metres) , below what experts believe is a safe minimum.
The interim report issued by the Air Accident Investigations Branch (AAIB) on Friday said two cockpit video cameras had been recovered, giving a partial view of the pilot and the instrument panel, which appeared to show that the plane was working normally and responding to the pilot’s controls.
It said: “To date, no abnormal indications have been identified. Throughout the flight, the aircraft appeared to be responding to the pilot’s control inputs.” The report said the plane had been properly checked and there appeared to be nothing unusual when its engine started.

The AAIB’s interim report does not draw conclusions, but the evidence it lays out appears to support the suspicions of industry experts that the plane was flying too low before it started to attempt the stunt.
The report said the Hunter began its manoeuvre at a height of 200 feet, before flying up for the start of its loop. “During the descent, the aircraft accelerated and the nose was raised, but the aircraft did not achieve level flight before it struck the westbound carriageway of the A27.”

The final report with investigators’ conclusions is expected early next year, and a full inquest is expected to take place next June.
IF IT AIN'T BOEING, I'M NOT GOING.

The 2016 Shoreham Air Show is cancelled "out of respect for the victims".

The pilot involved in the Shoreham air disaster, in August 2015, is being investigated for manslaughter, Sussex Police confirm.

Former RAF pilot Andy Hill, 52, was interviewed under caution by police in December, after recovering from critical injuries in the crash.
