ATC: mode C, mode S,ADS-B out,new F-pln 2012 regulation
Anyone from the tower to explain the new rules to fill-in the new flight plan 2012?
Transponder mode C, mode S. alternate 1,2,, etc... how can one know, what equipment is installed on the A/C?
and how to write the new form correctly?

I was not aware of new ruling - any pointers, please?
But as for "how can one know, what equipment is installed on the A/C?", the POH is the obvious place to start looking. On a rental plane, knowing what equipment is operational might be harder...

I've only had the time to read the documents diagonally, but I have the impression that most changes are mere cosmetic except for the field that regards the equipment. Has anyone already gone through the necessary documentation or found a good summary?

Got this in my mailbox a week or three ago. Don't know if it gives you more structured info, am a total nublet when it comes to FPL stuff, but thought it might help. If not, sorry for loss of bandwith

No waste at all, very interesting! Many thanks!

On the contrary! That is an extremely useful presentation. Provided that it is indeed correct, it should be dissipated across FTO's, RF's and flying clubs as soon as practicable! Thanks!Squelsh wrote:Got this in my mailbox a week or three ago. Don't know if it gives you more structured info, am a total nublet when it comes to FPL stuff, but thought it might help. You're very welcome, glad it got to good use. Even after going through those slides a second time I still don't get it anyways
Re: ATC: mode C, mode S,ADS-B out,new F-pln 2012 regulation
Well, that's perfectly normal if you don't have an aviation background offcourse. Even people who are almost at the end of their ATPL training still need to absorb all possible abbreviations used in aviation

Something that worth metionning here, it the coming postponement of the ADSB-OUT mandate by EASA.
This is yet to be published in the regulations, but seems a firm decision.

Also, the rumour says that EASA will postpone CPDLC implementation date by a few years. Has anyone read anything on this ?
