Not bad...but it's the ignition leads going to one of the igniter plug...the two half shell's are protecting the plug.

They are not replaced very often, because they are "on condition" parts, they are checked every A or 2A checks. By switching the ignition system....without cranking the engine...this test is called the audible check as a mechanic has to listen at the exhaust of the engine to hear the Clac...clac...clac...of the ignition system. ;)

here we go again.
First what I see is corrosion. My goodness, it looks like a WWI tank just being excavated. Time for some WD40 ! :)
What else? Mainly a hydraulic piston in working condition ( because it is shiny ) attached to something that looks like a torsion bar. And some hydraulic connectors - distribution block in the background.
I can't answer yet, I struggle with the fact that the cylinder is attached at the side and not in the middle of a fork on a bolt. ( makes me think about a side strut attachment  )

It's an hydraulic actuator but not part of the NLG.

Also, what's the part that the rod-end is linked to?

And we have a winner, although the right terminology is "retraction actuator".

This one is from the CLG of an A340....

But, now...what is called the part where the actuator rod-end is attached?
...:-)...

My guess is the uplock, but I don't think that's right?

The actuator rod end is attached to the yoke weld assembly?

It's connected to the barrel upper flange...but the way you call it might by use by other A/C manufacturer.

I'd say an engine oil quantity indicator. Don't quote me on that though.
