A350 Finally Leave Anchorage AK

Post by RC20 »

Its been sitting on the ground for almost a week (came in Monday I think)

Swirls of activity then nothing all this last week.

This time they had two fire engines at the left engine area, one other emergency vehicle and a couple of Police vehicles.

Not track on it coming in or where it went.

I didn't know it was stealthy as well as composite.

As noted, they have done the cold weather testing.

Also Alaska is in an extended warm fall period.

Their usual testy area is Canada (deep in interior)

any AK testing is done out of Fairbanks 400 miles to the North as Anchorage is not noted for its cold weather (we do get it but not typical)

Other reports were it fired up and took off two or three times and kept coming back.

With the Fire Apparatus you have to say it was a mechanical issue and they were worried.

No tracking on it, so my guess is it diverted from going someplace but someplace when it had issues.

No one has listed Anchorage as a destination and its too valuable a test bird (or demo now) to be sitting up here in the middle of no where as far as pax flights are concerned (non one stops in Anchorage anymore for long pax flights, unless they have to
