ERJ-145

Post by meerkat »

Can anyone help me with the identity of an ERJ-145(135) I saw at around 8-15 lt this morning landing on 25L? It had a blue tail and a white fuselage with large red titles. I couldn't see it properly as I was driving towards the water tower and was viewing it through trees and a steamy windscreen!!!

Thanks in advance for your help (nothing about this aircraft in the spotter database and I missed all the other goodies today as I was working in Antwerp)

Ray, of course can't notice everything what happens @ ebbr, but it was this one F-GYPE, flying for AF the route LYS-BRU-LYS.

I like that flashy paintscheme. It makes the plane seem even smaller than it already is.

P.S.: Is there some info you don't have SkyStef :?:

It seems that AF continues flying an ERJ135 in that route: again this morning! Notwithstanding the fact that the OAG announces a CRJ.

Be carefull Ray. Better pay attention to the road than to the planes ;)

No that we are talking about AF. Does someone know why AF isn't doing more ops from different airports to BRU ( like Lyon, Toulouse ...). Is it because they think the market is too small or beacause everything is centralized in Paris. :?:

Hello,

I am working in a travel agency and I think there is no market for other flights to and from France. Do not forget there are a lot of flights to and from Lille (Lesquins)

Chris: pax who have to go to Paris can better take the TGV. AF put's it's pax on the TGV to CDG, just like SN does from Paris Nord.

For the rest: SN offers destinations like TLS, VEX flies to BOD, and AF offers flights to CFE, LYS,...

France is pretty well covered from Belgium!

I don't really agree with you demol.
Personally I think that SN will do more money if they put the pax on the thalys instead of flying with their own plane. If it would have been a reliable destination by plane I wouldn't see why AF allready stopped this service some years ago (2001 I think).

BTW the thalys is a very nice train and I'm sure it's very comfortable.

No doubt about it, especially in First Class, which I use regularly.

But don't forget that the Brussels-CDG route in unprofitable!

Will Paris Nord-BRU (National) be more profitable?

For nice comfortable trains you can't beat those twin deck ones which run between Antwerp and Brussels. I caught them often when I was in Mechelen.

They are very nice (and I'd rather go on one of those in second class than the Thalys in first class).
Sabena and Sobelair - gone but never forgotten.
