Re: Lufthansa to upgrade shorthaul product
Waauw NCB, you never give up, don't you? The above Olympic Air C/CL cabin is only installed on two aircraft if I'm not mistaken, as you might know they replaced their B737-400 fleet by sourcing A32Ss from different companies. The interior in the above picture was already installed so they didn't cha...

Re: 5th A330 for Brussels Airlines
Some consideration must be given to parting some major routes from their triangular operating model into stand-alone routes. It should be possible to rotate an A333 in quick 75 minutes at base and do BRU-DKR-BRU-ABJ-BRU-DKR-BRU-DLA/NSI-BRU in 48 hours, thereby maximising the aircraft's potential. E...

Re: 5th A330 for Brussels Airlines
Will be delivered 10th of March. "It will be delivered" shows a degree of certainty, so it would be nice if you mention your source if it's publicly available, which is (I assume) in this case a bad copy paste from Skyliner Aviation. They mention "Mar10" which is basically March...

Re: BRU -> SIN, Brussels airlines to Heathrow
Air Key West is right: avoid troubles in case of irregularities and book your BRU-LHR in the same reservation as your LHR-SIN. Why would you take this routing actually? It looks a bit strange to me to buy a LHR-SIN on BA operated by QF and a BRU-LHR seperately. Whether you fly BRU-LHR on BA or SN: i...

Re: Booking SN flights
Nope, my VISA bill showed clearly 1 euro. For me it was the proof that booking fees and airport taxes are just fictional costs. If an airline can reduce taxes, , I conclude it are not taxes but just imaginary costs. You're quite fast in jumping to conclusions... the 1 EUR bill of Brussels Airlines ...

Re: M&M reward ticket question
You cannot book redemption tickets in b.light on Brussels Airlines. When booking a redemption ticket in Economy Class, you'll automatically be seated in b.flex. Business = b.business, no doubt about that. As for the advantages that come with a ticket in b.business: you're right, you get all advantag...

Re: Brussels Airport is a disaster when it freezes and snows
But many airlines have been reducing their capacity because of lower demand and because of winter. So,I guess finding some planes and crews to operate a 1 week shuttle can not be that difficult. 1 crew could make 4 rotations a day on these short Channel hops,...or not? I understand it might seem lo...

Re: Brussels Airport is a disaster when it freezes and snows
Why not set up a (temporary) airshuttle between Southend & Lydd to Ostend Not very realistic, letting a plane fly is not like dispatching a cab to some place. You need a plane and more important a crew. Crews are bound to some serious duty time regulations etc. so after the awful weather in Eur...

Re: Brussels Airport ATC strike between 1800 and 2000 LT today ?
the most efficient way for unions to get concessions from the employers, is to positively influence the cost aspect of their demands and whenever their demands have an inherently negative cost aspect attached to them, make sure that it is cheaper to accept the demand, than it is to reject it. You g...

And by the way, LX-LGX, if the delayed flight is only back in BRU tomorrow around 1030 am, it probably means it takes more than two hours to repair the problem after the technicians arrived in DKR. Again an unnecessary conclusion... if you look at brusselsairport.be, you'll notice that SN1206 is in...

Am I too pessimistic or do b.air's A330s really have technical problems too often ? it seems that a 737 from jetairfly had to return to BRU after take off: Just for your information: when a flight is indicated at brusselsairport.be as 'departed', it doesn't necessarily mean that the flight got airborne. SN 1203, do you think it is legal to charge a fuel tax which is higher than the price of the fuel used for your trip? Do you know how much Brussels Airlines is paying for its fuel bill? I am not surprised, they seem to have a serious flaw at their PR and commercial departments, if they actually exist at all.. the last mishap was the 20% discount.. the discount was only on the basic fare.. not of taxes and charges.. hence a one way 49 euro was discounted 20 euro cents. and so on.. ...
