Re: Emergency situation at BRU: 2 aircraft inbound with bomb threats

No Jetair aircraft involved according to Andre Berger, flight operations director of JAF.

A lot of aircraft are still inbound to BRU, which makes me believe that the planes involved will be diverted to other airports.

Re: BRU infrastructure: future

Hi, not sure this is exactly about the future airport infrastructure, but some questions nevertheless I hope someone may be able to shed light into: 1. With your back to Sheraton, what is the old terminal building being used for, and indeed is it used at all? (this is the building between the curre...

Re: Getting to BRU

Hi all, I understand correctly that the drop off is now done directly in the parking buildings. I read a few days ago there were very long queues to get to the airport. This is correct indeed, drop off can be done in all parkings, and will not cost you anything for 15 minutes. Is everything back to...

Some 4000 pieces of luggage were lost at AMS due to staffing problems with KLM ground staff, presumably from the FNV strike. I'd rather go to BRU indeed!

Re: Reopening Brussels Airport after the 22/03/2016 terror attacks

A drive through Zaventem was 25 minutes faster then taking the A201 according to Waze/Maps.

Anyways, Ben Weyts announced today that their would be some infrastructure changes on the R0 and the A201, before the big renovation in 2019.

Brussels Airlines will add an Airbus a330-200 with registration OO-SFT at the end of year. The airbus will be an ex-Swiss. Possible new destinations are already mentioned: Libreville, Lagos and Mumbai. However, a reintroduction of Nairobi is also a possibility. Thank you for the information Airbus2...

Re: Aborted coup d'etat in Turkey! What to expect ?

Nevertheless, at the latest Skytrax awards ceremony during the Farnborough airshow, TK got the award of best airline in Europe. They'll need several years before to get that again! Makes me wonder more and more if Skytrax is still the reputable source it used to be? About the FAA ban, I don'...

A large list of cancelled Turkish Airlines flight remain. There are also lots of reports about how 5-star airline (according to Skytrax) Turkish Airlines completely abandoned its customers. This is quite well known amongst other frequent fliers as well, if you fly Turkish Airlines, you better don't...

Food you pay for in "Light" is MUCH better, and now they are going to offer or sell (?) frites and warm "gaufres liégeoises" ? Not what I would call healthy food and imagine the smell in the plane :-( You sometimes have to make compromises, either stick to the menu, which is qui...

And they fly again this is way more effective than Belgium... You can blame BRU a few times, but constantly "bashing" the airport isn't going to help. We understand that you don't like BRU and their pre-check, neither do we, but we don't have to hear that every single time in a different ...

Airport is about to close according to Turkish ATC. Few flights still landing due to not enough fuel on board to divert. Most diverting to ADB.
