SABENA website before the bankruptcy?
Hi, with the demise of Mexicana I was thinking about SABENA and suddenly questioned myself 'what did the official SABENA website look like?', because I never saw it or can't remember it. Anyone knows? Maybe a screenshot? Was it anything like the airline websites we know today (booking, advertising, ...

Re: BRU summer 2011: latest news, routes, airlines
Well, they must feel the competition from AC, which is offering a daily connection.... probably the beginning of the end of TS at BRU if you ask me. when it comes to the business traffic, of course Air Transat is no match for AC. For leisure or VFR traffic though, the hard product is clearly behind...

Re: sn brussels airplaine in troubles
the nose gear hold didn't close after retracting the nose gear, this due to an oil leak and loss of hydraulic pressure.

Re: BRU 25/08/2010
An SN A330 (I think it was OO-SFW) made an emergency landing at BRU at around 12.35. Landed on 25R, emergency forces out in full force. It taxied off the runway near the end of 25R (near Abelag), then sat on the taxiway for about 15 minutes, before being towed to the stand. Anyone know what was wro...

Re: Korongo Airlines
I don't know if FBM can handle an A333, but when Korongo is up and running it might be a good idea to start BRU-FBM direct so passengers wanting to travel to the DRC accept Kinshasa can easily transfer through Korongo's hub at FBM... or Korongo can start ops from FIH? With a big link between FIH an...

Re: Boarding with Ryanair
the two happiest days in my life, aviationwise, were : the day Ryanair came to CRL and - still more - the day Sabena collapsed. Cheers. I can understand the first one, I've flown FR a few times and they are ok while some of their fares are unbeatable, so I chose them. Now, the second one...I have a...

Re: BRU winter 2010-2011: latest news, routes, airlines
I've been looking around at booking engines and find a B757 up till March 2011, so it will probably be te whole winter schedule.sdbelgium wrote:Delta Air Lines will replace B763ER with B752 on the JFK-BRU route as from 01OCT10 (until 29OCT10 - after that it's 763 again).

Re: SN to take over TNT pax flights at BRU
so SN will take care of 80% of the Club Med pax
SN wants just one (or two) type of shorthaul airliner instead of three today (Boeing, Airbus, Avro)
and for 2011 are looking to lease two A320 (or one A320 and one A319)
nice!

great news for BRU!!
but stiff competition for Etihad, I would guess.
A morning departure would make the most sense for connections at DOH.

I'm in for the suggestion, who else? Flying the A380 for that price! (80€/both ways)
